What is Isometric?

A 3D design style using parallel projection with no perspective distortion.

Isometric design is a method of creating three-dimensional objects using parallel projection, where all three axes are equally foreshortened and angles between them are equal (typically 120 degrees). Unlike perspective projection, isometric views don't have vanishing points, meaning parallel lines remain parallel.

Key characteristics of isometric design:

- No perspective distortion: Objects don't appear smaller as they recede

- Equal scaling: All dimensions are scaled equally

- Parallel lines: Lines that are parallel in reality remain parallel in the drawing

- Technical accuracy: Perfect for technical illustrations and diagrams

- Clean aesthetic: Modern, geometric appearance

Isometric design is popular in:

- Technical documentation

- Infographics

- Game design

- UI/UX design

- Architectural visualization

The style creates a clean, modern look while maintaining clarity and precision.
